If you’re looking to finance a large purchase or move high-interest debt off another card, the U.S. Bank Visa® Platinum Card offers an intro APR period of nearly two years for purchases and balance transfers, allowing you to save substantially on interest charges.
This card doesn’t come with a rewards program or many other benefits, but its primary appeal is the long intro APR periods. In fact, its intro APR promotion is currently one of the longest available. Cardholders seeking to save on interest charges will be hard-pressed to find a competing card that offers a longer interest-free period.

While this is pretty typical for a credit card that offers an intro APR on balance transfers for more than a year, there are balance transfer cards available that offer long intro APRs along with rewards programs.
For example, the Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer comes with an intro APR of 0% for 18 months on balance transfers, then 18.49% - 28.49% (variable) APR. Cardholders also earn 2% on every purchase with unlimited 1% cash back when you buy, plus an additional 1% as you pay for those purchases. Just know, this card does not offer an intro APR on purchases.

The main difference between the two cards is the length of their intro APR periods on purchases and balance transfers, plus the Citi Simplicity® Card touts no late fees and no penalty APR if you happen to miss a payment. Both cards require excellent/good credit for approval.
The Citi Simplicity® Card offers an intro APR of 0% for 12 months on purchases (after, a 18.49% - 29.24% (variable) APR applies) and an intro APR of 0% for 21 months on balance transfers (after, a 18.49% - 29.24% (variable) APR applies).
